Why Joining the Disney Accelerator Program Means So Much to Me

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share that Promise was selected to participate in the Disney Accelerator Program. Having Disney recognize our vision, back our company, and build with us is both humbling and energizing.

There are a handful of companies that shape the dreams of generations. For me, Disney has always been one of them.

Like a lot of kids, I grew up captivated by their films and the worlds they created. But in junior high, it got personal. My former elementary school art teacher purchased a vintage multi-plane animation camera. After school, I'd go back to learn traditional ink-and-paint animation, and before long, I was teaching younger students myself. A few years later, I used that same camera to create an animated film for the opening of the Denver Public Library.

Those experiences sparked a lifelong love of animation and the craft of storytelling.

At Promise, we believe technology should expand what's possible while keeping artists at the center of the creative process. Our ambition has never been to build technology for its own sake. It's to help artists create original stories, worlds, and characters that endure and resonate.  

We look forward to embracing new challenges in collaboration with the artists and filmmakers we’ve long admired at Disney.
