Over the past four months, Promise has collaborated with Rob Bredow, Bonnie Rosen, and teams across The Walt Disney Company through the Disney Accelerator Program to explore how AI-enabled technologies can expand the filmmaking toolkit.

Our work together reflects a shared commitment to responsible innovation, integrating new technologies into production while preserving the creative integrity and craft at the heart of storytelling.

Promise recently joined fellow Accelerator companies on the Walt Disney Studios lot for Demo Day, showcasing our artist-first filmmaking approach to hundreds of Disney executives and special guests.

Hybrid Production

Through a live demonstration, we showed how artists can transform an actor's performance in a gray box environment into entirely different cinematic worlds by combining traditional filmmaking techniques with generative AI workflows.

With a single performance as the foundation, filmmakers can explore different settings, visual styles and atmospheres. Each world takes on its own distinct cinematic look and feel, guided by the filmmaker's creative vision.

The demonstration highlighted how emerging technologies can complement traditional production techniques, giving filmmakers greater flexibility to experiment, iterate and bring ambitious creative visions to life.

Building on the Collaboration

We're grateful to the teams across The Walt Disney Company for the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new creative possibilities for animation and live action productions. We're excited to continue these conversations and explore how innovative technologies can support artists and filmmakers.
