Alex Weprin at The Hollywood Reporter covered our acquisition of Curious Refuge.

Our Co-Founder and CEO George Strompolos explained the reasoning: we believe deeply in giving entertainment professionals and new filmmakers the resources to build real skills in generative AI, and Curious Refuge had already created a safe space for exactly that kind of learning.

Co-founded by Caleb and Shelby Ward, Curious Refuge has spent years building that expertise, training thousands of students across more than 170 countries in AI filmmaking, animation, advertising, and documentary work.

Caleb described the range of that community, which includes Academy Award and Emmy winners sharpening new skills alongside creators who hadn't previously had a seat at the table to tell their stories.

Both he and Strompolos see the acquisition as a way to open career doors for that talent, whether on Promise's own productions or across the wider industry.
