At an IndieWire Sundance panel, our Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Dave Clark joined filmmaker Bryn Mooser (Asteria), Archival Producers Alliance co-director Stephanie Jenkins, and journalist/director David France to discuss how independent filmmakers can use AI both ethically and artistically.

Dave discusses that the current backlash against AI is often misdirected, pointing to The Brutalist as an example: the film used AI only to refine a couple of lines of dialogue, yet drew disproportionate scrutiny for an otherwise traditionally shot, celebrated piece of filmmaking.

His broader point echoed a theme we return to often: that filmmakers should be the ones leading this technological shift, shaping it with the same craft and intention they bring to everything else they make. More here.
